Web design for Guelph businesses, priced in the open

I build custom-coded websites for Guelph shops, firms and practices, starting at $1,000. Every price is on the page. I'm based in Toronto and work with you by video, so there is no office visit and no travel. You talk to the person who builds your site, from the first call to launch.

What a Guelph business website has to handle

Guelph is rarely only itself. It sits about 22 km east of Kitchener and roughly 70 km west of downtown Toronto, so the people who find you come from more than one place. Three things shape what your site should do.

  1. 01

Downtown is being rebuilt, and customers need to see you are open.

The City is rebuilding Wyndham Street from Wellington to Woolwich, with road work scheduled from Q2 2026 to Q3 2028, and the Macdonell Street corridor follows from 2028 to 2030. The City says access to businesses stays open during construction. Customers still have to see that. Put your open-during-construction hours near the top of your site and on your Google Business Profile. The City explains the work on its downtown program page (opens in a new tab).

  2. 02

A calendar that follows the school year.

If you're near the University of Guelph, your customers' weeks follow the school year, and your hours can change between term, exams and summer. People check on a phone before they walk over. Put your current hours and prices on the first screen, so nobody has to guess.

  3. 03

Buyers who are not next door.

The City names advanced manufacturing, agri-innovation and life sciences as its main industry clusters, with cleantech, information and communications technology, and tourism as priority sectors. Firms like that sell well beyond Guelph. Say in one plain sentence what you make or do and who it's for, show proof, and use a quote form that asks for the right details.

Who I build for in Guelph

Four kinds of business, and the one job the site must do for each.

  • 01

    Downtown shops, cafés and restaurants

Hours, or the menu and what's in stock, first. An "open during construction" line if it applies to you, and a tap-to-call button. My restaurant website page shows how the food side looks.

  • 02

Businesses near the University of Guelph

Hours and prices on the first screen, built for the phone. Students and staff decide in seconds, and often on the walk over.

  • 03

Practices, trades and independents across Guelph and Wellington County

A tap-to-call button, a plain list of what you do, and how to book or ask. My dental clinic page shows the practice version.

  • 04

    Manufacturers, agri-food and tech firms

What you make or do, who it's for, and a quote form that asks for the details you need. Buyers in Kitchener and Waterloo compare a few firms before they call.

Two websites I have built

To be straight with you: neither is in Guelph. They show how I work.

Moto Moto Grill menu on a phone

Restaurant, Thornhill, Ontario

Moto Moto Grill

200+ visits from Google every month

Their first website, with the hours, today's menu and a Call button on the first screen. It gets 200+ visits from Google every month, which is one restaurant's result since launch.

Parchmore Dental website on desktop and phone

Dental practice, Thornton Heath, Croydon, UK

Parchmore Dental

40+ new patient enquiries a month

A small practice that needed to be found. Its old site brought in no leads. Since my redesign and SEO setup, it gets 40+ new patient enquiries a month through the website form, and the practice is close to fully booked. Every business is different.

What a Guelph business website costs

My prices are public. Business is the pick for most: service pages, local setup and up to eight pages. Starter suits one shop or practice. A landing page is the cheap way in if one page is all you need right now. Choose Flagship for custom features, or to get your first month of SEO Growth included. Hosting is free, for as long as your site is with me. For the wider market, here is what websites cost in Ontario and the rest of Canada.

  • Starter

    $1,000

one time, 2 to 5 pages, about 1 week

  • Most popular

    Business

    $2,000

one time, 5 to 8 pages, 1 to 2 weeks

If you rely on Google to bring in customers, this is the one I recommend.

  • Flagship

    $5,000

one time, 8 or more pages, 2 to 3 weeks

Landing page $5001 page, 3 to 5 days

All prices are in CAD and paid one time. You only pay for your own domain, about $15 to $25 a year, bought in your name. See the pricing page.

Here is my promise. You make the final payment only after you have approved the live preview. If something is not right, I keep fixing it. If you are still not happy, you don't pay it.

Your site and your Google profile should agree

Every site has the SEO basics in the code. Business adds local details on every page and Google Search Console, so you can see the words people typed to find you. Starter includes help setting up your Google Business Profile: hours, address matching and the rest. The profile is yours to edit, and I tell you what to change. SEO Growth is optional later, for sites I build ($499 a month). Start with my Google Business Profile checklist.

How it works, from Toronto

  1. 01

    A short video call.

You tell me what you do and who calls you.

  2. 02

    Design.

You see the key pages and tell me what to change.

  3. 03

    Build.

I custom-code the site, fast on a phone.

  4. 04

    Live preview.

You check a link. When you are happy, I launch.

Questions from Guelph business owners

  • No. I'm based in Toronto and work with Guelph businesses by video and email. There is no office in Guelph, and I don't do in-person meetings there. You talk to the person who builds your site, and you review a live preview link before anything goes live.

  • That you're open, in plain words, near the top. Add your current hours, plus any changed hours while the work is on. The City says access to businesses stays open during construction, so make sure customers can see it. Put the same line on your Google Business Profile, which is yours to edit. I tell you what to change.

  • Yes. One site, one plain line saying where you work, and one page for each main service. A place gets its own page only when it's a big part of your work. A list of town names at the bottom just looks like padding, so I skip it.

  • Landing page is $500, Starter $1,000, Business $2,000 and Flagship $5,000, all in CAD and paid one time. Hosting is free, and you pay only for your own domain, about $15 to $25 a year. Extras are quoted up front, in writing, before any work starts. See the pricing page for what each includes.

  • The basics are built in: titles, descriptions, speed and a mobile-first layout. Map results come from your Google Business Profile, not your website. I have no Guelph address, so I won't appear in Guelph's map results, but your profile can, and it should match your site. No one can guarantee a position on Google or the map, so I don't. See SEO Growth for sites I build.

Tell me about your Guelph business

Send me a few lines about what you do. I'll reply with a plan and a free quote. I only take on 4 new sites a month, because I build every site myself.

Also serving Brampton and Oakville.
